Welp, it was fun while it lasted

With the loss tonight, the Indians effectively threw away their 30-15 start along with the rest of their season over the course of three games.  They're now 5.5 games out and appear to be heading down that dark dark alley that could put this team into another rebuilding project.  Seriously.  This season has been emotionally crippling for everyone involved.  It's possible that it's beyond repair at this point.  Everyone has a breaking point, that point where you just say "this is too much".  That point may have been reached tonight.  For as many exhilarating walk offs this team has had, they've had as many or more heart crushing defeats.  Emotionally draining to say the least.  I can't even imagine what the players are going through.  I don't even want to try.  As a die hard fan, that's all I am.  Just someone that watches, I don't have to go out there every day and pour my heart and soul into it like these guys have been doing all year.  No matter how frustrating they've made all of us, it cannot compare to the players.  Matt LaPorta deleted his Twitter account after he grounded into a double play to end the game with the bases loaded a while back.  Yesterday he popped out and Fukudome got nailed at the plate to end that game after they clawed back to put a 7-0 deficit within reach.  This is a guy that we all consider a complete bust after getting traded for a Cy Young winner.  You think he's oblivious to that?  What about Ubaldo, we traded two guys that could both be consistent 15 game winners, and for what? 3 and 1/3 and eight runs against the team leading the division in an absolute must win.  You think he's oblivious to that?  That's what I think the problem is though.  The last couple of years, the Indians have been a "second half" team.  What that means, they can win without the pressure.  The beginning of this year, they were expected to lose 100 games, meaning there was no pressure.  If the Indians want to be competitive in the near future (this year and/or next year), they need to figure out a way to become oblivious to the pressures that surround being good, they need to play without worrying about anything, they need to play without thinking.    That's about all I can muster up, I'm getting to close to either crying or throwing my laptop, I can't tell which but don't want to find out.  I will say this though, the Indians can gain ground tomorrow even if Detroit wins.  Absolutely no more room for error, no more excuses, no more nothing.
